Celebrate Fairfax, Inc. is led by a Board of Directors, who provide vision and policy direction for the organization. The Board of Directors maintains relationships with and serves our stakeholders, including community leadership, government agencies, the corporate community, and others who represent the more than one million citizens of Fairfax County.

DEBBIE KILPATRICK
Board Chair
Professional Accomplishments: Nominated and recognized for numerous community service awards such as PTA awards, Volunteer Fairfax nominations, NAACP Fairfax Community Award, and the Fairfax County Federation of Teachers President’s Award.
Fun Fact: Debbie was honored as Lady Fairfax, Sully District 2021, and is a US Army Veteran.

MICHAEL LIBERMAN

Former Director for the Department of Cable and Consumer Services
Currently serves on the ArtsFairfax Board of Directors, Master Arts Plan Task Force, and a former chair for the County Arts Committee.
Fun Fact: Michael began his career with Fairfax County Government in 1989 producing and marketing video programs.

Andrew has worked with the Fairfax County Economic Development Authority for about 10 years.
Fun Fact: Andrew enjoys music and currently plays in a few bands including a cover band called Space Otters. Communications Advocacy Freelancer

Tilly Blanding

Retired Fairfax County Social Worker
Tilly served over 30 years as a Fairfax County Social Worker and had her own day in Fairfax County to celebrate her community contributions.
Fun Fact: Tilly, a well-known Civil Rights Activist, even marching with Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. to advocate for equality and voting rights.

DAVID BRODER
Board member
David Broder is the immediate Past President of SEIU Virginia 512, a union of essential county and home care workers. David lives in Fairfax with his wife and two daughters and has been engaged here for the past two decades, including with the Fairfax Alliance for Human Services, Fairfax NAACP, NOVA Aging Network, and more. He has worked with nonprofits, faith groups, community organizations, and grass tops leaders throughout Fairfax County.

Current chair of the Fairfax County Diversion First Stakeholders Group and member of the Fairfax County Diversion First Stakeholders Group.
Former member of the Fairfax County Board of Supervisors, Virginia Railway Express (VRE) Operations Board, The Northern Virginia Transportation Commission, and the Inova Health Services Board.

Greg Dercach
Board member
Greg has worked in the retail and real estate industry for 20 years. His career has taken him throughout much of the U.S. and Canada.
He enjoys museums, hiking and spending time with family.

Tina Jones
Board member
Senior Instructor and Fieldwork Coordinator, George Mason University
Through her role at George Mason Tina has developed relationships with a variety of industry partners and has worked closely with CFI, partnering with their internship program for over a decade.
Education: Tina holds a master’s degree in management from the University of Maryland Global Campus and a bachelor’s degree in Recreation Management from the University of Maryland.

District Director, Northern Virginia District PTA
Serves in the Islamic Circle of North America (ICNA) Alexandria Unit as a General Secretary and former President as well as being a member of the Fairfax County Consolidated Community Funding Advisory Committee and a Board Member of Good Shepherd Housing Advisory Board.
Fun Fact: Hamid is a certified mental health first responder.

Has previously worked with the National Association of State Boards of Education, National Association of Federally Impacted Schools, United Way Worldwide and the Council for a Strong America.
Education: Tony holds a bachelor’s degree in Political Science from the Pennsylvania State University and a law degree from Purdue University Global Concord School of Law.

Fun Fact: Dana moved to the DMV to serve as a Legislative Assistant to U.S. Senator Ford before helping found Cornerstone Government Affairs.
