We’re the nonprofit organization that builds community in Fairfax County, Virginia. We work in partnership and engage the community to celebrate people, art, recreation, and community. Our three main focus areas are placemaking, events, and special initiatives. Learn more about our mission and impact.

There are many ways to support our mission! When you attend an event or make a purchase from a Shop Local market vendor, you are supporting the community, which also supports our mission. You can also volunteer, serve as a food vendor, or perform at an event as a way to get involved. Finally, you can donate or sponsor an event.
With the community at its center, placemaking is a name for the process of using community engagement and involvement to transform underutilized spaces and facilities into places where people can come together and create a sense of community, inclusion, and celebration.
Questions about our events:
During the pandemic, we had the unique opportunity to take a look at how we were fulfilling our mission to celebrate the Fairfax community. At this time, there are no immediate plans to start up the multi-year planning process to continue this event in the future.

The PARC Frequently Asked Questions
The PARC address is 8508 Leesburg Pike, Tysons, VA 22182.
The PARC is accessible via public transportation or car. If you are traveling via the metro the Spring Hill Metro station is also only about a 1/2 mile away.
Yes! There are two parking lots that are free for all event parking!
Additional paid parking can be found at the garage right down the road (8401 Greensboro Drive #800, Mclean, VA 22102 – a 3 minute walk to The PARC).
Yes! The PARC has accessible parking, restrooms, and an accessible entrance. If you would like to use the accessible entrance please use the entrance facing Broad Street.

Shop Local Market Frequently Asked Questions
At Celebrate Fairfax, we like to tell people to think farmers’ market, but without the produce! Our vendors are made up of unique crafters, artisans, makers, and bakers you might see at your local farmers’ market!

The market is generally inside; for some special events, we have have vendors booths outside as part of the event.
No, there is no admission fee to attend, nor do you need to register in advance to attend. Additional items, such as food, beverages, and merchandise, have a cost.
No! Booth spaces are offered free of charge to the makers, artisans, and crafters selected to participate in the market. However, space is first-come, first-served, so apply early to secure your spot via our inquiry form at the top of the site!
Volunteering Frequently Asked Questions
Yes! E-mail: Volunteers@CelebrateFairfax.Org and provide your name and volunteer shift.
YES, PLEASE! Unless you have received an update that the event has been postponed or cancelled, we will have a rain plan and will be moving forward rain or shine! Please dress accordingly and be prepared to work in the rain! We always hope for beautiful weather on event days but you just never know.
Unfortunately, we cannot provide full meals for our volunteers. We do give each volunteer a snack/beverage for each shift. The snack items consist of chips, granola bars, etc. If you think you will be hungry during your 3-4 hour shift, please eat before you arrive.
