Earth Day & Tysons’ Birthday Celebration

Celebrate Earth Day with Celebrate Fairfax, Tysons Community Alliance, Supervisor Palchik’s Office, and Supervisor Alcorn’s Office! The day will be full of educational and hands-on activities. Please see the schedule below make sure to sign-up by clicking HERE.
Also at The PARC from 10 AM until 1 PM, stop by to drop off your compost or learn how to get started composting at home, thanks to our friends at Future Acres!

All activities will begin at The PARC at Tysons. Parking will be available on-site.
SCHEDULE
9:30 AM – 10:30 AM – Fairfax County Park Authority Nature Walk
Join Fairfax County Park Authority experts and the team at Providence Board of Supervisors office as they take you on a nature and litter pick-up walk. You will learn interesting facts while helping clean-up the trails!
Note: this activity involves walking for long distances.
10:30 AM – 12:30 PM – Tysons Forest Clean-Up
Join Tysons Community Alliance and the team at the Hunter Mill Board of Supervisors office with cleaning-up Tysons Forest!
Note: this activity involves walking for long distances, picking up litter, and moving objects. Supplies for litter pick-up will be provided.
1:30 PM – 3:30 PM – PARC Beautification
Celebrate your community by beautifying a community hub, The PARC at Tysons! Get hands-on by picking up litter, removing invasive plants, and more.

Additional Earth Day Activities at The PARC
9:00 AM- 11:00 AM -Coffee, Coffee, Coffee!
Grab a coffee and treat from the Frothy Mug coffee van before you start celebrating!
10:00 AM- 1:00 PM Composting Resources and Collection
Bring your composting with you or learn how to start yourself. Our friends at Future Acres will be collecting compost and teaching attendees good composting habits.
11:30 AM- 1:30 PM – Food Truck Lunch!
Take a break at The PARC in Bloom lounge and enjoy a meal from a local food vendor. Fine Dining to Go and Tysons Creamery will all be on-site selling their delicious meals and treats.
Note: the additional activities do not require registration! The fun and activities will be open to the public and family friendly!
