Celebrate Fairfax! Kids at the Springfield Nights 

July 12, 2023 @ 5:00 pm 7:00 pm

Celebrate Fairfax presents special pre-concert programming starting at 5:00PM. Bring a picnic, blanket and/or lawn chairs for free family fun! We’re excited to bring the community together to celebrate the joy of youth. Come for the fun then stay for the concert at 7:00PM.

Fairfax County Government Agencies:

Department of Emergency Management & Security hosts a table to talk to kids about what types of disasters or emergencies happen in our area and how to prepare for them, and showcase their new kids book, One Cat-Five and Super-Stormy Night.

Neighborhood & Community Services

Public Safety Communications hosts, fun, interactive activities including coloring, matching mazes, and more to learn about 911 essentials. Then test your knowledge about 911 vs the nonemergency number through special games.

Fairfax County Public Library hosts a story walk and bookmark coloring.

Fairfax County Public Schools is bringing their electric buses- learn about FCPS’s commitment to environmental sustainability while you climb aboard and explore. Check out this coloring book to learn more about electric buses!

Fairfax County Police Department, West Springfield District, is bringing cruisers to climb aboard, stickers, pens and other giveaways, and police gear to check out and get photos!

Fairfax County Park Authority hosts table to make origami frogs and friendship bracelets, while you learn how to map green actions with Watch the Green Grow.


Springfield Nights is presented by Springfield District Supervisor Pat Herrity and the Fairfax County Park Authority.
