He currently directs and hosts La Agenda Radio\, and previously led Hispanic Agenda\, the Washington region’s first bilingual news program. Known for his dynamic presence and dedication to initiatives supporting the Hispanic community. Negrón is also the founder of A Creative Media Inc.\, a company specializing in digital content creation for clients such as The World Health Organization and The Washington Post Company. Before launching his own business\, he hosted radio shows on various stations\, covering topics like immigration\, education\, and health. His work has gained attention from media outlets like The Washington Post and Univision. Negrón has been based in the Washington\, DC area since 1999. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nEVENT LINE-UP\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nPERFORMER BIOS AND VIDEOS\n\n\n\nExplore the diverse groups of music\, dance\, and culture  \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nTinkus Wapurys TiaTaco- Bolivia The group was founded by Juan and Edy Rocha. Wapurys means community leader. Tinkus implies the meeting of people. This dance originates from the north of Potosí\, Bolivia.  \n\n\n\nBailes de Niños Mexicanos The group started in 2011 and continues to practice so that children learn about Mexican culture\, teaching them their culture and folklore. For example\, the typical Mexican dance shows the colors of the Mexican flag\, which are green\, red\, and white\, and the patriotic symbol the eagle.  \n\n\n\nLas Costeñitas del Ecuador This group was formed in 2023 with 4 members.  This year it comprises 10 beautiful women who proudly represent Ecuador.  The reason why this group was formed is to publicize the music and costumes of the Ecuadorian coast in the state of Virginia and its surroundings.  \n\n\n\nGrupo de Danza Maya Las Chapincitas is a non-profit group born on October 8\, 2022\, when the organization HACAN supported and motivated them to promote their culture and traditions through dance. In their first participation started with a group of 4 girls and a boy. Currently\, they have 12 participants. Throughout these two years\, they have participated in various events in the DMV area. Their mission is to share a message that “we should not forget where we come from and should be proud to showcase our culture\, traditions\, and artistic talent”  \n\n\n\nProyecciones Patria y Saloma – Panamá  Proyecciones Patria y Saloma Panama is a Panamanian folkloric group\, created in 2013 to promote and highlight the traditional culture\, dances\, and music of Panama in the Washington DC Metropolitan area. Our group is formed by men and women who love the customs and traditions of Panama.  The group’s main objective is to share Panama’s traditional folkloric rhythmical beats and movements\, which are a blend of African\, Spanish\, American Indian\, and Caribbean influences and vary in styles across our beautiful country.   \n\n\n\nBaile Marinera Norteña del Perú por Camila & Ariel Vargas + Grupo Festejo The dance la Marinera Norteña is originally from Perú. The Marinera is Peru’s national dance\, with roots in the Spanish fandango\, African zamacueca\, and indigenous couple dances. The dance is a traditional courtship dance with flirtatious energy but is also elegant\, romantic\, and funny.  \n\n\n\nGrupo Folklorico Raíces Hondureñas The Folkloric Group Raíces Hondureñas USA is the first cultural group of Hondurans officially constituted in the United States as exponents\, for the rescue and dissemination of the Honduran culture in these foreign lands where there is a large number of catrachos. Their mail goal is to rescue and transmit the culture and traditions of Honduras through the presentation of music\, dance\, and theater.  \n\n\n\nJonathan Acosta / Acosta Canta Band Jonathan Acosta\, renowned Venezuelan singer-songwriter\, is known on social networks as @acostacanta famous for having composed the musical work #ANIMOVENEZUELA which later became a motivational campaign inside and outside Venezuela.  \n\n\n\nJozef Alexander Medina – El Salvador  Salvadorian young local artist\, who loves promoting his culture in different artistic ways. \n\n\n\nFolkloric Group Ataco -Place of High Springs  \n\n\n\nRancho el Chalan Rancho El Chalan performers will dance La Marinera Norteña is a Peruvian national dance. It represents courtship and is traditionally danced between a man\, who uses his sombrero\, and a woman who uses a hanker\, chief\, and skirt to tell a love story. But there are other variations of Marinera. Rancho El Chalan expresses their traditional Peruvian dance with a man on horse and a woman on foot!
