Join ArtsFairfax as we uncover survey results from our Fairfax Regional Artist Survey\, designed for individual artists of all disciplines to identify the needs and obstacles they face in living and working in Fairfax County\, the City of Fairfax\, and the City of Falls Church. \nArtsFairfax and research partners AMS Analytics will present what we learned about individual artists\, including their artistic practices\, priorities\, challenges\, and what they need to thrive. \nGather in the Community Room of Reston Community Center for a briefing of the results followed by an opportunity to ask questions. Prepare to engage with your neighbors for a community discussion and let your voice be heard by ArtsFairfax\, your local arts agency. \nRegistration is encouraged; participants can check in upon arrival. Doors open around 5:45 pm\, and the event ends at 8.

SUMMARY:You Are Not Alone 5k Fun Run
DESCRIPTION:This fun run is tailored as a community outreach event\, bringing together local community-based resources focused on wellness\, mental health\, and suicide prevention. \n\n\n\nConnerStrong Foundation\, in partnership with Supervisor Rodney Lusk’s office (Franconia District Supervisor) and Celebrate Fairfax\, are proud to partner in our 1st Fun Run event! On hand will also be local community-based resources and organizations who provide various wellness\, mental health and suicide prevention goods and services. \n\n\n\nSince we know there are several basic needs that can influence mental health (i.e. – homelessness\, unemployment\, hunger\, etc.) our goal for this event is to make aware of the resources available in our community to the residents and address one such critical need – lack of food and clothing. \n\n\n\nAll of the non-perishable food and monies raised from this event will be going to help two local community food banks\, Koinonia & United Community.
