Join ArtsFairfax as we uncover survey results from our Fairfax Regional Artist Survey\, designed for individual artists of all disciplines to identify the needs and obstacles they face in living and working in Fairfax County\, the City of Fairfax\, and the City of Falls Church. \nArtsFairfax and research partners AMS Analytics will present what we learned about individual artists\, including their artistic practices\, priorities\, challenges\, and what they need to thrive. \nGather in the Community Room of Reston Community Center for a briefing of the results followed by an opportunity to ask questions. Prepare to engage with your neighbors for a community discussion and let your voice be heard by ArtsFairfax\, your local arts agency. \nRegistration is encouraged; participants can check in upon arrival. DESCRIPTION:George Emilio Sanchez’s solo performance work is the second installment of the “Performing the Constitution” series. The performance revolves around the landmark Supreme Court rulings that have diminished the Tribal Sovereignty of Native Nations in the U.S. Part historical\, part autobiographical\, this piece interlaces Sanchez’s experiences growing up in an Ecuadorian immigrant household navigating generational trauma and indigenous identity.
