Get ready to immerse yourself in an unforgettable celebration of Hispanic culture and the rich diversity of our community at Fiesta Fairfax! This inaugural event organized by the Fairfax Fiesta Committee and Celebrate Fairfax promises a day filled with music, dance, authentic cuisine, engaging activities, and so much more. Mark your calendars for Saturday, Sept. 23, 2023, from 12:00 PM to 5:00 PM at The PARC at Tysons, located at 8508 Leesburg Pike.
Musical Extravaganza
The music kicks off at noon with musical performances by local and regional Hispanic musicians and dancers, featuring:
– Mt Vernon High School Orchestra: These talented students, representing the diversity of the county, will perform a special selection honoring Hispanic heritage. Thank you to Education Fairfax for sponsoring the performance t-shirts for the students.
– Ballet Folklorico Boliviano Nuestras Raices: Founded in 2022, this group is dedicated to spreading the richness of Bolivian culture to all through music and movement.
– Grupo Folklorico Raices Hondurenas: Started in 2011, this group aims to preserve their cultural heritage to future generations through traditional music.
– Jonathan Acosta “The New Voice of America”: This Venezuelan singer and songwriter will delight the audience with a selection of original music.
Engaging Activities for All Ages
– Connect with Countries presented by T-Mobile: Explore The PARC to meet embassies and collect “stamps” in your T-Mobile-made “passport.” Collect all the stamps for a chance to win a prize while learning about the richness and diversity of Hispanic countries.
– Flags of our Heritage: Participants can learn fun facts about Hispanic countries while coloring flags from different nations.
– Face-Painting & Balloon Twisting: Second Story, a local non-profit, will provide free face-painting and balloon twisting for guests.
– Interactive Art Program: Community Art for Everyone will inspire creativity as participants create sculptures of Hispanic heritage characters using shipping boxes and authentic traditional patterns.

Savor the flavors of Hispanic cuisine with a variety of food options, including El Chef Latino, Frothy Mug, and Empanadas de Mendoz.
