SPRINGFIELD, VA — The inaugural Braddock Bark will take place on June 12 at Lake Accotink Park, giving residents and their pets a chance to enjoy special programs and activities.
Fairfax County Supervisor James Walkinshaw (Braddock District) will be hosting the event from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday, June 12 at the park’s McLaren Sargent Pavilion.
The Braddock Bark will include giveaways from local vendors, pet organizations and county services. It will also feature activities, presentations and contests.
“Grab your pup and get ready to have a {barking} good time!” the event’s Facebook page reads. “This free event brings our community together to celebrate the love that we have for our pets.”
Well-behaved and leashed dogs will be allowed to attend activities such as pet photography, demonstrations, a dog superlative contest and mobile grooming.
The Braddock Bark will be held in the upper area of Lake Accotink Park at 5650 Heming Avenue, Springfield.
Walkinshaw’s office plans to offer additional details on the Braddock Bark event in the Braddock Beacon newsletter and on social media.
