THE PARC MURAL
Name of the Mural: Waves
Artist: Rodrigo Pradel
Mural Artists: Rodrigo Pradel & Mike Pacheco
In 2021, a local mural artist, Rodrigo Pradel, began work on the colorful mural that wrapped the building in bright vibrant waves of color. The mural is part of Rodrigo’s latest series ‘Waves’ which explores energy through colors growing across the canvas. Waves of energy flow through us constantly and envelops everything it touches. It alters the space with a hypercolor surface. Viewers are encouraged to explore the whole area, find a spot they are interested in and focus in on the artwork. The art allows them to visually ingest the energy with intention, spawn imagination and creativity.
Rodrigo Pradel is a painter, illustrator and muralist born in Chile, later moved and raised in Canada, and currently calls the United States his home. He is a painter in many mediums whose work explores the event horizon between this reality and the other(s). The surrealism in his work resembles dream like environments while his subject matter shows a clear focus on the viewer and their internal journey.
